“Comfortable” High Heels?

Question by :
“Comfortable” High Heels?

Okay, I’m looking for some fashion advice. I am by no means a fashionista, but I do enjoy dressing up and I like how I look in heels. My problem is: I walk a lot of places and I like to go to those places dressed up. Heels included. But I always end up regretting my choice in shoes within 20 minutes of leaving the house, and I can be out for hours at a time. Am I buying the wrong shoes? I can’t afford expensive shoes, I can barely afford $ 20 shoes at Ross… Am I walking in them wrong? Should I buy some Dr Scholls something or other? My feet get sore and blister from the heels. I’m only 18 and my feet look like they took a trip through the blender. I’ve only been to NYC once, but I’m pretty sure I recall every woman I encountered wearing heels. And in New York people walk and take the subway everywhere. How do they do it? There must be a trick or something. Otherwise they must just deal with it and cry it out when they get home. I’m tired of the “beauty is pain” mentality. There must be something I’m doing wrong.

    Dr scholls is the choice.

2″ platform heel. Platforms are actually much more comforteble once you get use to them.

You have to break them in. That means wearing them like 5 times before they are comfortable. You can take precautions like wearing bandaids wear it cuts. Also you could wear tan stockings which surprisingly helps. You could also try brands like naturalizer which does have heals

Honey I’m originally from NY, but as soon as I moved to Texas I found a whole new world, New York SUCKS. I’m a Texan at heart and what I’m trying to get at is a pair of brown cowgirl boots with daisy duke shorts and a tank top will catch a mans attention better than that city glitter high heel poofy hair stuff. You can also wear them with jeans, skirts, dresses, pretty much any outfit! Their comfortable & wayyy sexier than any pump will ever dream of being! But be careful though – don’t go looking at Aldo & think you’re gonna get good quality boots cuz that’s a joke! I recommend Cavenders.com … They also have all the accessories & clothes to match it up. Believe me country girl dress is more comfortable & 1000x sexier than city dress :)

A lot of women bring at least 2 pairs of shoes for any event.

Wear high heels to work – keep flats in the office for when the heels start hurting. They also give their feet a break periodically by taking them off when they can. If you’re indoors at a party/club or office you’ll see some bare or stockinged feet freeing themselves from their 4 inch platform prisons.

Go to a club/party/ wedding in heels. Bring flats in the bag or in the car to change into towards the end of the night. They now even sell flexible ballerina slippers you can carry in a small purse.
