Should I use my cam walker/walking cast as a night splint for plantar fasciitis?

I have two from previous injuries, and I would like to avoid spending the money on a night splint.

I have plantar fascitis and have even had surgery for it. I know the pain well. A cam walker is ok to sleep in but it’s very uncomfortable. If there is a cvs near you they sell a small over the counter night splint by futuri. It’s very small so it’s not too bad to sleep in. It is only$20.00 so it’s well worth it. But if you prefer to sleep in your cam walker go ahead it will help
    Good luck and ice often
