I had plantar fasciitis too, and tried a lot of the things you did without improvement. I finally had to resort to having a plantar fasciiotomy, where they cut the fascia about 2/3 of the way through. When they do that, the area that they cut fills in with scar tissue, which “lengthens” the fascia, and relieves the tightness and pain. It can be done arthroscopically, with very minimal healing time. Unfortunately, I also had a bone spur on my heel right at the end of the fascia, so I had to have the old fashioned, open incision surgery so they could shave that off too.
You would still most likely have to do some more PT afterwards, to keep the fascia from tightening back up, and also so that you don’t get adhesions from the scar tissue, but to be honest, it really helped me, and could help you too. If you haven’t been to see a podiatrist, I would recommend it. Hope you are back to running this fall!

Hi
I am also running and I am dealing with plantar fasciitis for more than a year now. There are many things you can do to treat your PF although I understood that treatment efficiency is very individual. If something works for one it may not work for the other.
I understand that you did try taping? I have found it very useful. Taping will keep your foot from getting injured again and will help you get through your daily routine. There are a few Taping techniques you can find in YouTube – just type “Plantar Fasciitis Taping” in YouTube search.
Think about your gait. This is the key for your recovery.
Try swimming and riding a bicycle. I used to run and I got plantar fasciitis so I started to swim and cycle. Today I’m better with my PF so I ended up as a triathlete.
I also found a very informative website in: http://www.plantar-fasciitis-elrofeet.com
Take care & Good luck

Have you tried switching over to orthopedic shoes for additional cushioning and support. They work well in relieving pain caused by plantar fasciitis. If you go to http://www.drewshoe.com , they even sell athletic orthopedic shoes which will be great for when you want to go running.
