I had 3 cortisone shots yesterday in my foot for plantar fasciitis and a few other problems (nerve and joint damage). How long do they usually last for?
I have an old injury of a broken foot & ankle that didn’t heal properly. I developed arthritis, nerve damage, a dead joint and plantar fasciitis on the heel of my foot (on the bone).

If you have a coach or gym instructor available ask him how to do the exercises necessary to reduce the pain. A podiatrist can do it also. The basic one id leaning forward against the wall and stretching the fascia. Look it up on line. The cortisone does not work right away but should last a month. The right exercises can give you prolonged relief if you are conscientious.
From no results with lasting side efforts (worse scenario) to 3 days to two weeks is typical. In the long run you will be worse off for those shots- they don’t fix anything and only very temporarily relieve pain often with lasting side effects like arthritis- just visit the manufactures web page and read up if you dare. The information is there by law.
